In addition to a few ongoing road and sidewalk construction projects currently underway in Parker, residents may have noticed two more project startups this past month.
One is the Hilltop Road/Canterberry Parkway Area Improvements Project, which was awarded to 53 Corporation, LCC, this past May. There had been an increasing trend of accidents in this area. Consequently, to mitigate collisions, an acceleration lane and two turn lanes are being extended. The roadway work will be completed this summer and the associated detention pond will be finished in the fall.
The second new project is the Pine Drive-Sulphur Gulch Bridge Rehabilitation Project, which was also awarded in May to Jalisco International, Inc. Work includes the replacement of corroded bridge railing, replacement of damaged stone veneer, and the removal and replacement of settled bridge approaches. Construction is scheduled to wrap up this fall.
