[ARCHIVED] Engagement Programs Available for Parker Youth

Girl Scouts - Pledge of Allegiance

The Mayor and Town Council support Parker's youth through a variety of programs, such as the newly created Parker Youth Commission and even visits by elected officials to local schools and community groups/events. Two of the most popular programs created to serve our youngest residents include the Pledge of Allegiance Program and Scout Nights.

Pledge of Allegiance Program
The Town welcomes youth organizations to play the important role of opening regular Town Council Meetings by leading the Pledge of Allegiance. This program helps students engage with the community while learning more about local government. Meetings are in-person and generally held on the first and third Mondays of each month at 7 p.m.

If you would like to sign up a local group to participate, please visit ParkerOnline.org/PledgeOfAllegiance and fill out our online form. Meeting dates are first-come, first-served, so be sure to sign up early!

Scout Nights at Town Hall
Mayor Jeff Toborg hosts local scout troops at Parker Town Hall on the second Thursday of each month at 4 p.m. to help scouts fulfill merit badge requirements for local government.

Leaders of interested scout troops are encouraged to sign up their scouts at least one week prior to the second Thursday of the month via our online application at ParkerOnline.org/ScoutNights. All scouts from a troop who will be attending should be included on the online sign-up form.

Councilmember Event Visits
The Mayor and Town Council appreciate the positive contributions made by Parker’s youth community groups and often make appearances at their events to show the Town’s appreciation for their good work.

To request event participation by the Mayor and/or a Councilmember(s), please fill out our online request form at ParkerOnline.org/CouncilRecognition
