[ARCHIVED] Celebrate Independence Day at Let Freedom Sing, Saturday July 3

Let Freedom SIng Fireworks

The Town of Parker and Rocky Vista University are pleased to present Let Freedom Sing, 2010! This annual tradition will be held on Saturday, July 3 from 6 to 10 p.m. at its new location at Salisbury Park, 9200 Motsenbocker Road.

Gather your blankets and lawn chairs and enjoy live music from Denver favorite, Slopeside from 6 to 8 p.m. Slopeside is known not only for their crowd pleasing covers, but also for their cutting edge originals. Family and friends of all ages will have a blast at the complimentary inflatable bounce houses, slides, sports cages, climbing wall and bubble tower. Bring a picnic or take advantage of the festive concessions including pizza, burgers, hot dogs, ice cream, Italian ice and kettle corn. Temporary Tattoos and face painting will also be available for $5-12.

The event continues at 8:30 p.m. when 35-piece brass band, Rocky Mountain Brassworks takes the stage and performs rousing patriotic favorites and Sousa marches. An Independence Day celebration would not be complete without fireworks! Experience the Town of Parker’s first-class fireworks display set to music at 9:30 p.m.

Parking will be available on site at the Salisbury Equestrian Park, south of the ball fields’ lots. Regular and handicap reserved parking will both be available for $5.
