[ARCHIVED] Celebrate the Solheim Cup!

As you may have heard, the Solheim Cup is coming to Parker Aug. 13 to 18! To celebrate and welcome players and spectators, the Town is supporting a variety of additional events for the week and getting into the spirit with patriotic decorations on Mainstreet. Come join in the fun!

On Monday, Aug. 12, The Town will kick-off the festivities with a free welcome event featuring live music by Honky Tonk Voodoo in O’Brien Park from 6 to 9 p.m. The evening will also offer the Parker Chamber of Commerce’ s Wine Walk on Mainstreet, for just $15 per person (must be 21 to participate in the Wine Walk).

Art lovers will enjoy the annual Art in the Park, sponsored by the Parker Artist Guild on Friday, Aug. 16 through Sunday, Aug. 18. The event will take place in O’Brien Park beginning at 4 p.m. on Friday and will feature more than 80 local artists exhibiting original works.

The fun will continue into the evening hours with ever-popular Movies in the Park! Bring your picnic blanket and enjoy free movies at O’Brien Park on Friday, Aug. 16 and Saturday, Aug. 17! Movies will begin at dusk.

Finish out the week on Sunday at the Farmer’s Market on Mainstreet from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and be sure to stick around to enjoy the King Stan Band as part of the PACE Summer Concert series in O’Brien Park from 1 to 3 p.m.
